It wasn't so much the usefulness as the prestige...

And you're right, Tempest. I mean, we have like several hundred (?) people registered, but only a handful post on a regular basis.

I was aware of this topic, just feel that some user inputs could be interesting.

Okay, here's the official answer: I am not sure if it is necessary to have backup mods. I mean the task of the moderators here is to keep discussion civilized, and it's not a board with an attendance of several hundred posts per day like on some support forums and we don't see troublemakers on a regular basis either. So even if one mod goes underground for a while, I don't think this would cause significant problems with the board, I mean I can still handle it. :wink:

Why don't we have some kind of tempory moderator. They would moderate a forum when the moderator couldn't because of work, life, holidays or exams.
