Is it possible to change your username?

I was wondering if i could get my username changed. When I was the administrator of a board, a long while ago, I could change usernames. And I was wondering if it's possible on this board.

I suppose I should give a reason, too. Okay, so my username is Azrixaris Vorn. But I joined the board before I discovered my full name, Azrixaris Casselu Vornath, so it's weird typing only half of my name. And seeing as how almost everyone I know calls me Azrix, (or Azzy/Azzie for those who know me really well) I wanted to change my username to my short, easier name.

it is possible to do that on a phpbb forum my friend does it for me on his forum and i do it on my forum.

But do we do it on this forum? No. Too many people would be unhappy with that, and you can have a title.

chalgrish, why wouldnt people be happy if there names were changed, i was relieved when my name was changed from jakes mum to Lord_jake in this other forum.

I have nothing against that. I'm just saying that people who are obsteperous would ask their names to be changed.

and it may also get a bit confusing if u changed it to something no one could match to ur original name

i think u should have put a little more thought into ur name before u created ur account if u don't like it.

Its not that I don't like it. It's that when I joined, I only knew a portion of my draconic name, and now I have discovered the rest of it.

Tempest only regulates title changes so he can avoid account problems due to change all together. Its been a rule here since I can remember.

It can be done but I would prefer to do this as infrequently as possible. Basically, if you do want to change your username (I am making a rule on the fly), you should be willing to keep it for the next 12 months to the very least since frequent change in a member username can lead to a lot confusion around the board.

For those who really want to change your username, make your request below this post.

PS: I am very sorry for the delay in the response to this thread. Answering all those requests is my personal responsibility, and I had been neglecting to do this.

Tempest-Elda, we are all glad that this board is still functioning, and you are not to blame if you atrent on the forum for a few days, due to problems in life, Im suire all here understand that. Though personally, I agree. you should put more thought into your name when you get it. (JAkesmum, *cough cough*)
