Iyrius continued to gaze at the ground at Mia's paws. He dared not look up. Was she going to forgive him? In his mind, what he had done was unacceptable and, if he had been assigned to protect her by the Order, losing her was an affront punishable by death. The Order had no need for incompetent Mages.
If he hadn't been a wolf, Iyrius knew that his face would have been turning a bright red. Everyone was probably staring at them, but he still did not raise his eyes. He had been put to shame and he would feel shame until it was righted.

Mia didnt no why he wouldnt look at her. This was getting her a little frustrated. She walked over and nipped his ears once again as if to get his attention

still, Iyrius kept his eyes down. Gledin's were a proud race, stubborn too. Mages doubly so. Him being of both made it almost impossible to make him see past his stubborn decisions. To save honor, Gledinnians refuse to meet the gaze of the one they had wronged. Iyrius kept his eyes down. 'Forgive me, Lady.'

Judging from the way Iyrius was acting towards Mia he was asking for Mias forgiveness.

Mia tugged alittle harder becomeing more and more frustrated. His pribe was disturbingly strong for a mage that had nothing to feel guilty about. "Come now you have nothin you need to be ashamed of, its not your fault you were knocked out if anything it was our fault for not noticeing you were gone." She said loosening her grip on his ear.

OOC: carving a forest... i dunno, i kinda took it as simbolizing him carving a lot. you know, carving a lot of wood. carving a 'forest'? ...never mind

IC: Was that acceptance? Iyrius decided to take it as so. 'I was so worried,' he said, looking up. 'You were no where and I... I...' He suddenly lost his train of thought. What had he planned on saying? 'I was afraid for you,' he finished.

Mia didnt understand. What ahd he to be guilty about he didnt lose them they lost him. It was their fault for not noticing him missing and yet for some reason she could help but feel guilty herself." Please you have nothing to feel guilty about."

'Nothing to feel guilty about!' Iyrius exlaimed, rising to his feet, ears forward with incredulity. 'I lost you! It is an unspoken agreement that our species watch each other's backs! I got lax in my alertness and got bashed over the head for my incompetence! I might have lost the group! I might have lost you!! You-,' he cut off, horrified at what he had been about to say. Abashed he put his ears back and glanced uneasily at the others, suddenly very glad they couldn't hear what their conversation entailed.

" I what? and besides if that were the aggreement then i should feel guilty too!" She excliamed her ears coing bac too. But instead of shamer her face showed the fierce reality of what was going on though she and the others did not realize it.

'ite Mia, i don't know what's going on with me...,' he really didn't know how to say this. 'The idea of losing you... was so painful.' He shook his head. What was he doing? He tried to change the direction of what he had said, hoping she wouldn't catch the real meaning in his words.
'Whether you knew of the agreement or not, it was still there. You are also untagged, or unknown and unbound, to the Order. It is my responsibility to take you there.'

OOC: oh, and heads up guys. i'm going to be leaving on Thursday and i won't be coming back until Monday.

IC: 'I... can't...' Iyrius said. 'No, i can't say what the heart speaks for my mind won't let me.' It was hard for him, but he turned his back to Mia and walked away to the opposite side of the camp.

Mia walked after him. and grabed him by his tail. Clutching his tail in her teeth and pulled. " You will not ignore me. Tell me what is in your heart or we will never be able to move on from this point and im afraid i will not be able to travel with you anymore." She said loosening her grip. As the first rays of the sun roze into the sky above tears started to form in her eyes and, feeling very troble and down hearted turned tail changed bac and ran into the forest.

Iyrius did not run after her. Instead he sat with sorrow weighing heavily on his heart. The suns rays bathed him in their warm light and he changed back to his original appearence. Still he remaind sitting.
It was nothing, he told himself. It was too soon to know anything. There wasn't even a surity that these feelings he had were real or just his mind having tricks with him.
But what if it wasn't? He had to know.
Ignoring the other's questioning looks, Iyrius stood and followed after Mia.
He had to know.

Mia sat on a river bank weeping into her palms. What had he ment? did he have feeling for her if so she should have realized soon althouth this theory answer most of her questions. Though she did not pursue this subject her mind kept wandering bac to the same question 'could she return these feelings if it did turn out that he had them?' She continued to weep until she felt no more sadness. she washed her face silently until she heard the crunching of footstep behind her. she pulled out a dagger slowly and turned quickly and threw it. Hitting the tree near the person pusueing her.

IC: The sound of running water greeted Iyrius's ears. Had Mia gone this way? His question was quickly answered by the hissing of a dagger through the air and a thud as it hit the tree by his head. He couldn't help but smile a little as he retrieved the blade. It was embedded deep and was hard to pull out.
Holding the freed dagger in his hand, Iyrius held it out to Mia. "I believe this is yours, Lady?"

Mia took the blade with a look of deep regret. She would have rather not had to confront the idea of his feelings. She sensed another presense one that laughed at their plight not on purpose for he knew not the pain they were feeling. Soon though the presense was gone and they continued their conversation. " so what do you want?" She said blush intensely by the look in his eyes.

Iyrius was completely unaware to anyone else's prescence except Mia's. "There is something... that i need to know," he began. His instincts screamed at him to stop. That this was a dangerous road, already once travelled and found to end in pain. He shoved his apprehension down.
"I am afraid... I..." The words stuck in his throat and he found that he could not, despite his growing need to know the truths of his feelings, continue.
"Forgive me," he said, avoiding her gaze. "I overstep myself. You wish to be alone..." He turned to go.

Iyrius swallowed hard and faced Mia.
"A heavy weight has been placed upon my heart. I have feelings that i fear to have again but..." he looked at Mia, eyes desperate and searching. "I never thought it possible but i find myself... I find... Mia, i know its crazy but think i'm beginning to love you!"
Saying these words brought the reality crashing into his face. Never again, he had promised himself. Never again. Not after Thea. He felt shame and remorse. Worst of all, an emotional pain that he had hoped to never have again.
But it was out there. He had to accept what happened. He couldn't take it back.

Mia blinked not knowing how to reply, but for some reason what she just heard felt horribly horribly right, but hadnt he had a past lover? It felt as if her heart were being crushed from the presure. she wasnt sure wether she should return her feelings for him. " Iyrius...i...feel the same way...but i cant be sure these feelings are true..." She said wishing him to understand.

Mia's response left Iyrius feeling cold. He didn't know what she meant but he knew how his mind took it. Once more averting his gaze, Iyrius nodded, crossing his arms. "I see... yes... okay...," he said. "That's... understandable. I mean... yeah, sure, i understand..." But he didn't. Hadn't she said she felt the same way? but then again, hadn't he felt that his feelings might have been false as well?
But now he was sure. These stabs in his heart were all too real and so was the pain and all the strong emotions that came with it.
But she wasn't sure. Nodding once more, Iyrius gave a small smile. "I'll just... leave you alone then... to, uh... figure things out..."
And with that, he left.
