Cool Bladed Weapons
I want to make a list of the coolest bladed weapons known to man! And to avoid critisism, woman! You have to include a pic or a description of the weapon to give people an idea of what you're talking about.
I'll start: Chakrams
Description: usually come in pairs, and they could look like almost anything, as long as they are circular and sharp. They could be pointed or bladed, depending on the maker.

I would also say katana they sooooo rock o.O
Or the great gurkhas knife .
Description:It's 32 cms (12 1/2") long in the sheath. The blade itself is 18 cms (7"). The handle is wooden with many brass embellishments. The blade is finely wrought with an oriental design.
Theyre mostly used in the Asian jungles by "obviously " gurkhas.

-snorts- Deflected a crossbow bolt...sorry, but Im not believing you there. A crossbow bolt can go at least 100mph when in flight, maybe more. Recurve arrows..possibly, it depends how weak the bow is and at what distance the arrows fired.Flyingwolf wrote:iv done it before, it took a good blade swipe and the bolt was deflectid and hit a tree instead of me. i can make bolts bounce of swords, I will take the risk.
Longbow..you got a 60/40 chance you're getting spiked
Compound..hell no
Crossbow..you've got to be kidding me
Sorry Flyingwolf, Im just saying what i believe here and what my archery coaches have told me. But fine, if you want to risk having a crossbow bolt go through your body and out the centre, by all means, go right ahead

I love the hand and a half sword, or bastard sword. Despite its size is it a elegant quick weapon in the hands of a master. And it is the main weapon I use for fighters.
And on the longbow, they are only as good as the arrow used. So it the arrow head is not strong enough to pierce good armor a longbow is just a useless length of wood.

The victories from those skilled in warfare are not considered of great wisdom or courage, because their victories have no miscalculations

vampirehunter42 - I like swords, but the larger hilts tend to make you need to roll your wrist to get the shot and leverage - give me a set of daggers or a short sword anyday ie. a roman Gladiius (sp?)vampirehunter42 wrote:I love the hand and a half sword, or bastard sword. Nice, I like Cloud's Fenrir from FFVII.
Gunblade: A one-of-a-kind sword wielded by Squall Leonheart from FFVIII. It is kind of a mixture between a broadsword and a shotgun.
And before anyone else says it:
Keyblade: A special sword that keeps a basic shape, but changes design with each keychain attachment. It can unlock any lock, even one to the heart of a world or person.

There is no greater honor than dieing in glorious combat with a superior opponent. *Thrust... thrust.... parry....sweep.....THRUST!! Good.* Ah the joy of a Boar Spear.
