FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH

Post by dragonfly »

okay anyone who circles, stars, or otherwise marks fri the 13th on their calender, this is for you
i was bored yesterday in science class, started playing around with today's date, and this is what i found

the 2 friday the 13ths in 2006 are 01/13/2006 and 10/13/2006. because october is special (halloween n all) i tried this first: 10+13+2006=2029, 2+0+2+9=13!!!!!!! as if that wasnt cool enough, it gets weird:
0+1+1+3+2+0+0+6=...13!!!!!! and its the same for both jan and oct (twice in ONE year)
now this may not seem like much at first, but when you think that the numbers of the months must be the same, and must add up with the year in such a way...the last time this could have happened was probably about 500/more years ago!!!! and i tried it on 2007 and 2005 and it doesn't work, so its not normal

2006 is a really, really good year
oh, and i dont think 13 is an unlucky number, i think its a number of change
NOW DOESNT THIS BRIGHTEN UP YOUR DAY?
Now and then I announce "I know you're listening" to empty rooms. If I'm wrong, no one knows. And if I'm right, maybe i just freaked the hell out of some secret organization. It's basically Paschal's wager for the paranoid prankster.

Pretty interesting find. I guess you are right about 2006 beeing a good year for stuff like this, both all of these 13 numbers you found, and also 06/06-06

in science, the teacher was explaining a quiz that i got 100% on (naming compounds) and i was excited about today so i just started playing around with the numbers and then ran around after school showing about 100 people.
06-06-06 doens't really work as well since it's actually 06-06-2006
hmmm 0+6+0+6+2+0+0+6=...20 :( nothing special
06+06+2006=2018, 2+0+1+8=...11 well, its a prime number, but there really isn't...omg
20+11=31 which is 13 backwards...creepy

It was an action passed by a curious and bored mind. Although that is interesting to note, there are dozens of ways to make the number 13.

i guess fri the 13th depends on how you look at it. i had an awesome day cuz i thought it was an auspicious day, but ppl might have bad luck cuz they're expecting it.
ok apparently im not as much of a genius as i thought cuz when i told my aunt about this she said she had also seen something like it on the web, so i guess im just following the crowd, but i swear i did not copy this from anywhere.

This page took so long to load I've forgotten what I was going to say.

But...you must have absolutely no life at all. No offense. But that is really quite sad. It's very interesting though.

Have you seen the 9/11 thing like that? It's very interesting too. In a boring, fascinating kind of way.

When I'm bored in class, I doodle, or talk.
