Dragon Possesion Theroy
I have been looking through this fourm and have been seeing people saying they are "possesed" by dragons, but are just faking it. But on the other hand, I have thought of a way of why dragons may have put there spirits into a persons body. What if you had a dragon spirit in you, but did no know it was there? Maybe this spirit is observing our lives and our world. One may ask, why would a dragon want to observe a humans life? To see if dragons are ready to come back (if they are still alive). My theroy is that dragon spirits go into ones sub-concious when one is born, but a spirit would now be in everyone. The dragon spirit may be seeing if humans have gotten past killing and destruction, and if dragons can come back. This is just a far fetched theroy of mine. Please say what you think of my idea.

My dear, I'm afraid I'm going to have to tell you that I partly believe your theory. However, I do not think that everyone has a dragon spirit. That would be very unlikely. I think that very few people have a dragon spirit and they should be considered very lucky. Most dragons are wise and down-to-earth and would make a person much more complete and wholesome. If I had a dragon spirit, I do not think I would make some of the stupid mistakes I have made. However, I am only human. Human will always kill and fight. It is in their nature no matter how many people shun that ideology. If dragons do come back, it will be when there are so few humans that they cannot kill each other because they would be in danger of destroying the species. By the way, you spelled theory wrong.

I have said that not everyone may have a spirit, and the person would not be affected. Some people have split personalities and do not even know it. The reason for this is because the second personality is in the sub-consious. Also, maybe the dragons just want us to mellow out some. If your look in medival litariture and art, dragons a protrayed as evil and wicked, when in fact, dragons probably were just trying to protect themsleves. The dragons just want a safer time, without hatred for the unknown.

This sounds like a description of a dragonkin or dragon contherianthrope.
Dragonkin is generally past lives and reincarnation.
Dragon contherianthrope - having a permanent wereside.
Dragonkin is generally past lives and reincarnation.
Draconity is not really all that rare, but you'll be hard pushed to find someone in the same street as you.Draconity is the state of being a dragon, draconic, or dragon-like. More specifically, it is a term used by many members of a subculture of people who believe themselves to be a dragon in a psychological, a spiritual, or far more rarely a biological sense. The term "draconity", along with the subculture that originated it, seems to have arisen in the mid-1990s through internet communication media such as Usenet newsgroups (particularly alt.fan.dragons) and IRC. Although many draconic individuals interact online, and some only declared themselves to be dragons after finding this subculture, many dragons claim to have identified themselves as such far prior to knowing the subculture even existed, although there is no evidence to support this claim

Now a contherianthrope on the other hand, doesn't experience 'shifts'. It's permanent - like man and animal blended together. [/code]Therianthropes may describe their nature manifesting in terms of their cognitive processes, their outlook on life, their inner reactions and instincts, their senses, or through their physical body, though claims of actual physical variations from the norm tend to be regarded with skepticism both within and outside the subculture. Detailed descriptions (as with all inner experiences) vary widely, with common descriptions being of beliefs that they either have a spiritual bond, the soul of an animal within, that they have an atypical or atavistic neurology, or an emotional shading of the personality. The human and non-human aspects of the self may then co-operate or conflict, leading to happiness or unhappy dysfunction, and may take much self-discovery to begin to understand or accept as what the self-identified therianthrope believes is true. Because this is a personal self-perception or identification, the ways in which a person describes his or her self-identification as a therianthrope vary considerably.

Well, I think that dragons would not say that they are there, they do not wish to show that they still exist, so they will not enter our every day concious. I think the people who "say" that they have a dragon spirit in them are just attention grabbers trying to say what they are not, or not know what they are.

I wouldnt say they are possesed id say they have a Dragon as a spirit guide and dont really know how else to describe it. I also feel that dragons have moved completely to astral plane until they feel we, humans, have advanced enough intilectually to beable to coexist with them as a confrontation would wipe both species out of existance or close to it. They bide thier time and guide people they feel needs help more, or can help move the world toward day when they will return and live peacfully with humans.

Hey i could even believe that i believe in vampires, really really really really really scared of them, but i believe in them.
i believe that ghosts can posess people, druids, wizards, witches, demons, angels, all that type of stuff, but dragons, no i dont. dragons never really seem to be that type. i have read books seen movies, the internet is my second (or maybe third i'm at my friends a lot) home i havent really seen stuff about dragon's spirits or anything else posessing a person.
well, except for one book where the dragon was an alien race that couldnt survive without a carrier and took over this boys body and every once in a while would come out. but that's the only one and i really didnt care for the book.

If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.

yep, yep. far-fetched, but it may be possible if the dragon was willing to give up their physical body and a mage of some sort gave them a potion to allow them to infest a human body. but how many dragons would want to do that? give up wings for opposible thumbs.

Humans can be possessed by Dragon Spirits and also Human Spirits. Dragons in the Astral Realm can interact with Humans; and there are also Dragons trapped in the 2D (second dimension/density) under the Earth's crust (2D is also found within our bodies.) Many were trapped a long time ago when there was a shifting of planes. Dragons once existed in 3D. They flew in the sky, swam in the sea and walked the Earth.
The 6 Realms according to Tibetan Buddhism are:
Smoky Hells, Hungry Ghosts, Animal, Human, Titan (Demi-God) and God Realms.
Human and Dragon Spirits would be in the category of Hungry Ghosts or sometimes even demi-Gods. And, yes, to stay on track with the thread they can possess Humans. And the original idea in the thread about Dragons or maybe some other alien energies using Humans as a vehicle to see the state of the Earth is right on actually. It happens a lot. The Pleiadians for example (Keepers of 5D the fifth dimension) call Humans of Earth the "People of the Vision Quest" and basically they can live within our thoughts and use our thoughts as fuel or raw power.

With the thousands of sightings all over the world for thousands of years, if dragons ever died, their remains would have been discovered by now. This is why all dragon-slaying legends are lies, or exaggerations. Many of the stories are real, about particular dragons laying waste to a certain area, but these trips to earth are temporary, and the dragon is recalled. Invariably, when a dragon leaves an area a person will claim he drove the creature off (becasue there is no body to prove he killed it). But over the years, these stories become exaggerated, and people claim a dragon has been killed, and these are how the legends are born.
So, no dead dragons, no dragon spirits. But I agree there are human spirits and even animal spirits. One of the main reasons dragons return to earth is to consume unrighteous spirits, either disembodied or in living bodies. This is why Dragons are so "wise", the possess the knowledge of all the souls they absorb.
It is possible a human spirit can convince a human it was once a dragon to gain acceptance. The best chance for an evil spirits survival, is to hide in a human host. While most "dragon spirit" stuff is fake, as servarl people have stated here, it is possible a human is possessed by a faked dragon spirit of an evil human who would otherwise be consumed.

The Draconic-Chronicler is the author of a soon-to-be-released book about the real dragon-servants (Seraphim) of the Judao-Christian theologies that have inspired world-wide dragon legends.
