Runes

Post by Makadona »

Who here knows about runes? I found an alphbit of them on google, and I am really intreseted in them now. I would like to know how to make and cast runes. Also, online I found a picture of an amulet with runes all over it. This is what it translated to: Dularfulur Af Torfrar Og Kraftur. Does anyone know what this amulet means?

I belive that the last part (og kraftur) means "and power". I don't know about the other.

if that is what it means then your knowledge conflicts with my notes for upon changeging each letter to its futhark symbol I have deciphered it to come out as more of a generic good luck charm with many signs of power and success as well as inheritance and travel with a hint of insight. Travel doesnt necassarily refer to physical travel but maybe a change in lifestyle.

My decision: That there is a good luck charm although it does vary depending on what it is inscribed in but id rather not discuss lenghtily.

They were just a way to write. It was just an alphabet used by Germanic tribes.

Here is a link for more info on that.

Don't forget graffiti and things like that. At least that is true about Norse runes in Northern Scotland, I've seen pics of them. And the professor translated them for us. They were manly names and things like that, more or less an "I waz here" type thing. (The z is there on purpose.)

I did some research and Dularfulur Af Tofrar Og Kraftur means "Mysteries of Magic and Power". I am going to try and find some other rune sentences.

not trying to be mean or nothing but i have two questions:

1: How did you come to this conclusion? How did you research it?

2: why would they carve "Mysteries of magic and power" on an amulet?

I looked up Runes on google and found a website that had translations of words. I do no know why they would have it on an amulet though.

I'm guessing you where looking at the individual rune meanings then, not full words.

JUst recently I bought a casting rune set. This had all the Elder Futhark runes, and showed how to cast them in diffrent ways. I have been three rune casting for my firends, and the results are amazing. For my friend J.J., the runes said that in the past he was rich, which he was, the second rune said that he has no controll of the money in his house right now, ture again, and that if he works hard, he will be rich again. His question was, "Will I be rich?"

My second friend Sarah asked "Will I get along with my dads girlfirend?" The first rune said in the past, there where boundries between the two of them, which was true. Right now there has been a turning point in the realationship between them, ture. The last rune said that they will get along, but the two of them have to change.

This was very freaky, and showed the magic of the runes to me.
