Two dragons!

Post by Blue Tiger »

This is a Desert Dragon that I drew a while ago, I got the head idea from a drawing book but the rest is my own. My scanner doesnt work so this is a photo, thats why its quite bad...

This is my drawing of a Ice dragon from the same book. But in the book, it was quite differant, I canged head and scales. The wings are the same.
This book is a fantasy book and is really good, it tells you how to draw and paint many differant creatures.

You.

Sign up for an art gallery NOW! :D

You're a great artist; your detail is excellent. Now show it off a little more!

Would you email me the pics? All I see here is a little white box with a red X in it.

Are you sure you want me to email you them? I hate the little box thing, it should work as I can see it, and so can silv... Maybe try again later...
Thanks silv :D But they are only photos and would look stupid compared to the others in the art section who have scanned theirs.

Comparatively, my drawings are half developed tadpoles to your mighty dragon, but critiquely I don't particularly like that design. The legs seem to melt into the body instead of truly being part of it.

the back legs look like they are coming from the middle of the stomach, maybe if they are put more to the sides....with folds of skin, ir something, defining them from the body?
If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.

Thanks everyone! Ok, im going to change the legs on the second one, then ill post up the finished one, sound good? I knew there was something up with the legs but I didnt want to go mental on changes, the reason is because the drawing I did before that one was great but then I decided to change it here, change it there, do this an that and I ruined it so was afraid of doing the same thing... Has anyone else gone too far and over the top before on a drawing? Lol But ill see what I can do...

Yep. If you're adjusting an image, scanning it in and doing a 'redline' helps.
