Support Firefly's resurrection!

Anyway, yeah, I've learned that FOX's Rights on Firefly expire in 2010, but have also thought of some ideas that may save it sooner.

-Buy just the rights for an animated spin off.

-Support the movie enough to get a second one made.

-Pressure Sci-fi to buy the complete rights and start the series up again.

I'd support any of these ideas but I doubt any of them will come to being. So, what do you think?

I think the first step in all of this is to ask Joss Whedon if he wants Firefly to keep going as a series.

I'm pretty sure he was quoted saying he just wanted to do movies from now on.

I thought it was allready saved. But I guess people are still trying to save it. Good luck to it, I was not watching much TV when it started and never watched the movie. So I have not gotten into it.

You should at least check out the movie. The entire thing is really well done.

Well, I think Whedon said at one time that he preferred the weekly television version, because you can fit in much more character and plot development than a fast-paced action movie. The only thing is that he is too fed up with FOX to continue the series on their network, even if they were to beg for him to bring it back. Right now his policy is to fight another day, and to rally support. He is currently writing a comic titled 'Seen Better Days' or somesuch. Hopefully that means a movie is on the horizon, but you never know....

I'm fair certain he said something about not making any more TV series, but I'd need to ask Oliver.

Why don't you listen to the interview for the Collectors edition on Amazon. I think he said something about something we're talking about, I know he mentioned the comic, cause that's the first I'd heard of it. It was on the third or fourth link.
