Since I broke the typing record. Sorries.

No, I was just kidding, I kinda found out about it a long time ago and asked Tempest about it, he said it was to keep people from spamming.

I've never noticed it before, and I could swear I've had more posts than that before. Maybe I just got lucky and posted right around when the timer resets.

The post per minutes limits is actually more annoying.

I havent run into that here but I have run into it before on other forums. especially when get into a heated debate with some one when both of us where currently online. Ts annoying when type a 4 sentence reply and hit post button and get message you cant post any more right now wait for a while before posting again.

Hi all, for those who don't know or remember who I am, I am *supposed* to be the person in charge of everything here even though I've been doing an excellent impression of a mute lately.

About the posts per day limit, this is indeed a script to control spam and it was put in place about 1-2 years ago. Let say that a spammer manages to register a name, s/he could post hundreds and even thousands spams before an Admin realizes this and pulls the plug.

With this said, I can also adjust the limit depending on the board activity, so I have:
- Increased the maximum posts per day to 20 (up from 15)
- Decreased the flood control time to 45 sec (down from 60)

Hope this help a bit.

I never really had a serious problem with the flood control, especially since I've seen forums literally get flooded...

I just never noticed the per 24 hour thing before. I guess you must have added it after I stopped posting as much.

20 posts per day... with my schedule I don't think I can do that. Then again...

I'm sure I could pull it off. Just not without necromancy or double-posting...

Oh, them's fighting words.

Personally, I'm amazed that Jish isn't somewhere in the hundreds of thousands yet. (no offense friend)

Really?

I don't think it's that amazing. Apparently this forum's gotten a closer to dead.

Aye that it has. Fortunately though people are starting to come back so there is a slight chance that it may live on.

Such is the way of the world. Circles within circles within circles, I say. And such. It's not the only thing I say. I do so like to say it, though...

Regardless, it means that we'll probably be here a while.

Unless Tempest dies, or something. Boy, that'd suck.

Well, it would. I'd use other words, but I imagine there are plenty of little ears (or their equivalent) hereabouts.

Ya, ya. Sisterhood.

More or less on my own topic, you're gonna hit the post limit first today, mate. That means I'll be the one with the net profit.

Fair enough, in that case.

You do have one advantage over me: You RP. I don't.

Aye, however, I have to join a RP in order to reap such benefits.
