I had some trouble last week getting on. Any idea why the site wouldn't let me in?

I don't know the cause but I had exactly the same problem, something about the server being disconnected or busy or something. Sorry I can't remember exactly

During the night of December 4th - 5th, the site was moved from a specific server to an unified platform. In plain English, files are now stored centrally. The advantage to giving every individual server the ability to access the website and when a request occurs, the first machine available is the one to handle the request, which translates into faster loading times and fewer service interruptions (something that has plagued the website during 2007).
Also, the new platform also includes pools of servers for each service: machines that are dedicated to - and optimized for - specific applications. However, during the transition the new system forgot how to handle php queries (Error 500 - Internal Server Error), so this was why the board, the gallery and the review sections were down (as they are all written in php). This problem was fixed two days later.

The company that is in charge of managing the domain name renewal "dragnix.net" basically renewed it for one year instead of two (as asked). So the domain name expired, but since mistakes like that can happen the domain was not made available immediately for others to take, instead they display ads for some times. Long story short, after a chat with the company, they admitted their mistake and called the registrar and it took a few days to put everything as before.
Also, now the site is accessible via two different name: www.dragnix.net and www.dragnix.org, they are both identical (i.e. a post entered here will appears on the other domain as well).
