once strong now weak
Once the dragons would never have accpted that their land was taken away by some humans.But now there are so few of them.And they cant fight against the humans any more so they must flee.We humans have killed many other species of animals this way.

There are two explanations for the absence of dragons (barring extinction):
1: They are hibernating in some deep cave(s), or;
2: They have shifted themselves into another plane of existence.
Occam's Razor states that the simplest explanation - #1 - is the most likely, given that there is no scientific explanation for dimensional shifting without complicated particle acceleration.

Well, not that I support Occam's Razor (see the movie Contact), but you're excuding the even more simple explenations.
a). They are extinct.
b). They are merely a figment of imagination, influenced by the observance of enviable traits of other animals.
c). They once lived, but the last were killed off by Europeans.
d). Etc.
Occam's Razor only works if you list all the options, not just the ones you want to be true.

If they don't exist, this conversation would be pointless, wouldn't it?
WIthout getting into the "did dragons exist" thing, let's stick with the assumption that they do, they did, and that they are just... not here.

I believe in the different plane of existence theory, I cant really back that up by much, but I have my sources. It does seem a logical explanation though, they wouldnt be able to live here without getting discovered, so they left this realm to humans,... do you blame them?
As for how we know about them from all over the world, I would say that perhaps ancient man did see them and pehaps they can contact certain humans nowadays from their planes...?
