Okay, given that dragonmaster and I are the only colony players, can I play some of the colony personnel as NPCs?

We've landed on d, right? The higher gravity would force it into a water world, so it's highly unlikely for there to be dry land. It could have an oxygen atmosphere, however. The 'land' seen in Starshine: Shades of Gray could be floating colonies, as part of the Colonization/Terraforming carried out by the beam hoppers.
Formerly DragonRider. Almost teenage me could have been more imaginative with names.

Since I'm typing with my PSP in a hotel room right now, I'll make this brief. Gravity or not this beam swept much of Cleo away. The colonists were lucky to have gotten the water they did.
