Plants? What do they have to do with Dragons?
Physics... nope.
Geography? Possibly.
Chemisty: maybe, what's it for?

Chemistry, to validate dragonfire. Physics, to determine aspects and details of flight. Geography, to find them. Paleobotany... I dunno, it seemed right.

Well, if studying prehistoric plants, may aswell do dinosaurs, their bone structures. Speaking of that, the T-Rex has extra lungs I think, now that could be a possible thing for dragons, considering their exertions in flight.

The benefit is, you can always be a zoologist as a day job, allowing you to travel to draconic areas under the pretense of searching for other fauna.
