The 2-14th Infantry battalion, 2nd BCT, 10th Mountain Division. "Golden Dragons". During the events of the Battle of the Black Sea (later immortalized in the move "Black Hawk Down"), the 2-14 was the unit that went into the midst of the firefight in Mogadishu to rescue the embattled Rangers and Delta operatives after the two helicopters went down. As of 10 Jun 2011, it is also my unit of assignment.
Hoo-ah.
Anyway, my wife and I are in NY now, expect to get base housing in about 1-2 months. Hopefully I'll have pictures soon, but no promises.
