I was just wondering, what people think a rose can symbolize? Like a plain rose or a colored rose, I just want to know others points of view on what they think it can symbolize. So if people don't mind give me your thoughts on it.

It can symbolize a lot of things, I personally think it symbolizes the endeavors of emotion. Beautiful and poise is the flower, but painful and prickly are the thorns.
A rose is the supreme gift of love, the silky texture, the blood color, Ahhh what a heartfelt gift!

A rose symbolizes the futility of life itself. No matter what you do, eventually that beautiful rose will wilt and die. But thats just what I gather from it.
I belive a rose resmebels love, it smells sweet and is a majestic beauty but its thorns can hurt and eventualy it wilts and dies. Love is simillar they are both double edged swords...
The earth shall be green and pure once again, fed by the blood of humanity.

i agree, but yet i disagree. life is not futile even though we do die. in order for that rose to last so long one must care for it, the more you care the more it grows and the more beautiful it becomes. and vice versa, the less you care, the uglier it becomes. such as life itself. life is what you make it. simple and pure. i guess to tie it back to the rose. i say " life is a rose"
If you take care of it right, even when it dies it will continue to be beautiful.
Just so, if ones lives his life rightly, he will reamain beautiful, even in death.
