Do you people actually believe in dragons? Or is this just kind of "pretend game" to keep you busy?

This is not a message board designed to harbor only those of a single opinion. Rather, it is a place where people discuss varying opinions.

So in answer to your question, us "people" have varying beliefs on the subject. Some here may believe that dragons do exist, some may believe that dragons have never existed, and some, like in my case, may believe that dragons existed in a time previous to this but are now extinct. It might be better to rephrase your question and direct it to personal opinions rather than to the whole.

I think, perhaps, that you may have confused the general forums with the RPG forums in assuming that discussion here is a "pretend game". The general forums, such as this one, are meant for honest discussion of certain topics and the sharing of opinion. A Role Playing Game, like what is done in the RPG forums, is a type of game where people assume character roles other than themselves. Granted, sometimes they do cross over because many participate in both.

I find that this is quite a crude phrasing of the question and conveniently placed by a non-registered user. I should hope you meant no insult to the members here and their interests and opinions.
I have lived here before the days of ice,

And I come back to find the stars misplaced,
And the smell of a world that has been burned...

Um,I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but that 's a slightly rude question for 2 reasons:

1.The way you worded it was rude

2.I personaly believe that everyone should be allowed to believe what they want to believe without being questioned for it

P.S.And anyway, I believe in dragons

hm..
dragons could be, ya never know. the chinese believed 'em, so did almost every other ancient culture. maybe they were.
maybe when they die, their bodies become invisible
maybe theirs some 'parallel' world they live in
maybe they live inside people as 'hosts' - like the Goa'uld of Stargate SG1

some of my wackiest suggestions
every forum needs an idiot

I think the argument seems to be, I don't believe in dragons because I haven't seen any, and no dragon bones have been found.

Well, o.k., then, do you believe in God?

bringing up religion is like opening up a can of worms. Religion is such a broad subject, and even saying god, it's still broad. There are hundred's of religions, many of them believing in a god, or god's, or goddess/s.

Asking a question like that is very much different than asking if you believe in the existance of dragons.

Also, if you don't believe in dragons b/c of the simple personal fact that you have yet to see any dragon bones, then you have yet to actually let yourself see every possible aspect of Dragon's non-existance in this time. There are theories that they had "moved" to an alternate demension.

An added note to the dragon bone comment. How can you be certian that perhaps certian Dinosaur bones are not dragon bones? Are you saying that for every dinosaur bone, there was a complete dinosaur skeleton attached to it?

We as a society do not yet know enough about the past to determine weather or not dragons do exist or ever did exist.

to add to Zoan's comment, many people recognize such things like believing in dragons, being a wiccan, Goth, or even playing Dungeons and Dragonss as perverted abuse of the natural laws of the world. personally, I feel that these people should gouge out their owns eyes with a rusty metal baseball bat, then shake salt into their eye sockets. seriously, the non-beleif in dragons stems from the fact that most people require their eyes to see something in order for it to be "real".

Most rennaiscance *spelling?* people beleived that the world was flat! Christopher Columbus, good old chap that he was, proved these people wrong with the "sails before the hull" technique. Until he spread this knowledge, most people continued to think that way, but when they realized that the Earth was in fact, round, the Earth "became" round.

requiring evidence is rather short sighted, but in some cases it can be helpful. Such as in FBI cases. at any rate, the non-existance of evidence is the exact opposite. because there is NO evidence that they DON'T exist, the general public is torn between reality and thought.

I truly whoe heartedly beleive in dragons. I have several things to say after looking at thes message board and....

1)I think that dragons exsist, and are still alive.

2)I don't really care if you don't beleive in dragons.

3)No, this is not some pretend game that I play to keep myself busy.

Although it seems unlikely, I believe dragons exist. Isn't it convenient that cultures from all over the world, without even interacting, all had stories of dragons? The aztecs, the Chinese, the europeans. All over the world. Also, why dismiss it as a myth? Only, like, 50 years ago dids this arrogant race abandon their belief that an atom was the smallest thing, when they cut it open. 200 years ago, people believed the Earth wasflat. For us to be so arrogant as to dismiss this as a stupid fairytaly is wrong. I believe.

2009: Scientists find a dragon body. The myth is over.

ok......... um.......this is a Socratic method, but if they didn't exist, how did every ancient people across the globe by themselves think of huge magical reptiles? they all have different characteristics, but so do native species of humans dogs, felines, etc. This is my proof that they're real. And uih, by the way, Im goin for site idiot, so
