Erm, I don't know if most people know this, but magick doesn't work that way. Its more of a prayer if anything else. It would be nice to just snap your fingers and blow something up...but...well, we wouldn't have a very nice society if humans had that type of power. And of course there is our cardinal rule:
Harm none, do what ye will.
Simple. As long as no one gets hurt, do whatever the heck you want. And "hurting" someone includes blowing up a church because that mentally hurts others. Can't slip through that loophole.

But by taking revenge, you are performing a cruel action against them. So you are still harming others, and revenge is not the exception to the Wiccan rede. And how do you know that the person who first committed the crime wasn't taking revenge for wrong done against their people?
"Revenge is just another excuse for murder"-I don't know who said this.

Also, there is the "Three-Fold Rule" Whatever spells you cast comes back to you three times stronger. If you cast only black-magick guess what will come back? Also, revenge is not something that I promote. I believe Karma will take its effect if I am wronged.

Ah, I can see Taluscion has been studying true pagan. (not that there is one certan path) Finaly someone who doesn't think we can blow up the sun with a spell...if we could some idiot, who has no clue what he is doing, would have already done so. Taluscion I congradualte you on your weath of knowlage.
I'm an ex-wicca person. I still use some of the practices of wicca, but I'm christian now. Wicca is fun. I only wish that you can use wicca more to gain what you want.
To use magic for ones self gain is considered generally 'wrong' or unwise among most Wiccans. As probably almost everybody else above me has said. Put others above yourself

And yet another who knows of what they speak. Praze be to the gods! If only there were more who understood.

Ekdahl was it? Thank you for the recognition, but I think the knowledge I gain from the studies is also because I have put it into practice. I am a Wiccan. Also, you may refer to me as Talus, my full name is usually reserved for titles, formal greetings, the such.
Also, Nino de los Dragones, suffering against others is not that much to be proud of. I will reserve my own judgement until I know more about you, but tell me, exactly how far must someone go to deserve a wrathful curse?

ok i tend to think of myself as a nice guy and it does take a lot to get me mad. and when you go get me mad i will get even. but to get me mad takes to much. my sister can barly get me to scroul. once i get mad i stay ad and take it out on evey one. but with magic i have had to learn to controll what little of a temper i do have. because i a scared that i may hurt someone. i will get even with some one who does hurt me, my family or friends. even if it is to cause their death. they mess with me i will destory them.

Isn't Wicca a religion? If so, we shouldnt be discussing it. However, personally, on one hand, I believe its false, and on the other, If it is real, Im not going to tolerate it in MY jurisdiction...

When this thread was made, I'm sure the term "Wicca" was used as a euphemism for "sorcery" or "magick". In truth, it does exist, as a religion. Stating that it does not is a false statement. Now magick on the other hand, is a different story. Let me give you my point in questions, John.
1)What religion are you?

I believe its called Christian, though I believe that Buddhists are also correct.

Fair enough:
2) What is your definition of casting spells? How do you think they work?

O.o?

Yes, I am talking to you John. Answer if you will.

No, I just mean that I fight wiccans, (dont ask...they think im some some sort of freak...) and so I dont think there is a way of 'casting spells', Socrates.

I am not asking if you believe in it or not, I am asking what you think the definition is.

Again, you misunderstand me. I am not asking you what you think magick is, I'm asking you what do you think the definition is for
"Casting Spells"
Would you like more clarity?
Posted: Thu Jun 08, 2006 9:36 pm
by John
Oh! I believe that a 'wizard' or 'witch' channels that energy, and that is magic.
