If I could live anywhere, I would live near one of the poles, or possibly in orbit in a space hotel. Canada would suffice, though I don't speak french. :P Other than that, I would probably choose somewhere high, to see as much of the world as possible, which would explain the space station thing.

Where would you want to live?

In a cave, perhaps. I love caves. One of the longest caves in the world is close to where I live. And, by ‘close’, I mean a few hours away. It would be nice to live in that, except for the tourists…

Or perhaps somewhere cold. But mainly, I'd rather travel... Whether on foot or in a car.

Either in the water or space. Probably space. Or Ceres which is officaly classed as a dwarf planet.

On second thought traveling is good, though, I wouldn't want to stay in a cave.... I'm not all that comfortable in the dark, especially darkness that could blind me...

Antarctica, because it's cold and has few people, and by few people I mean the scientists.

i like the idea of travelling since i wouldnt have to choose between all the cool places i like i would just travel around them. If i had to choose one place though it would probably be between rome, somewere like egypt and a place close to any sort of forest :D .

Well, since we're talking monuments, The Great Wall is cool, the only one you can see from space. *plays with magnifying glass* 'Wonder if you can see it from the moon? *Looks though telescope at moon, still searching for that pole with the flag on it that is 'supposedly' there.* I guess I fill the spot of Conspiricy theorist without Firu here.

You can NOT see the Great Wall from space.
If we take "space" to mean a low Earth orbit such as the one travelled by the Space Shuttle (roughly 160 to 350 miles above Earth), the Great Wall claim fails twice. First of all, it's not the only object visible from that distance: NASA's Earth from Space photographic archive (particularly the Human Interactions section) shows that pictures taken from low orbit reveal human-built structures such as highways, airports, bridges, dams, and components of the Kennedy Space Center. Secondly, even though other objects are visible at this distance, according to Shuttle astronaut Jay Apt, the Great Wall is barely discernable, if not invisible:
We look for the Great Wall of China. Although we can see things as small as airport runways, the Great Wall seems to be made largely of materials that have the same color as the surrounding soil. Despite persistent stories that it can be seen from the moon, the Great Wall is almost invisible from only 180 miles up!

Ahh, lets get tecnical shall we? Maybe it's not the ONLY visable object from space, but visable with what? This wasn't specified, so we immidiatly think it's the average human eye, but like I said, it WASN'T specified. Anyways, I still think the Great Wall is cool, anybody ever been there?

Well, almost everything is visible from space then. You can easely see things as small as cars or humans from satelite pictures.

But back to the topic,. The Great Wall is pretty cool. I havn't been there myself, but one of my friends have. It would probably be fun to go there sometime.

I would stay where I am, CANADA! Canada may have cold winters and short summers, but our summers are nice, and range for 4 to 5 months. And for many stero types:

-We do not live in igloo's
-We have two national laguages (English and French) but are open to any other cultures
-We are not all pot smokers (Thats only B.C. jk!)

If I had the money I'd build an addition to the International Space Station. Like a hotel with luxuries (and an extra suite for people to visit). Also, a little space plane to take rides would be fun. Since they're planning to make a permanent moon colony and then a manned mission to Mars right after that..the ISS would be the hotspot to see stuff happening. And with a fantastic view of our Earth.

My room service would float in and the hot housekeeping ladies would have to learn to make the bed in zero G =) Actually, if I remember correctly they sleep vertically in the ISS and strapped in. I'll have to change that..maybe an oxygenated pool (like humans breathe while in a womb) might be comfortable and rejuvenating. I don't know sleeping vertically just sounds not so fun.

Hmmmm, I would live in iceland which is actually largely forested unlike the name suggests (sneaky devils those vikings). I would live in a hut with my mate and a our kids and would work hard everyday to put food on the table( oh my my i do love the joy of HARD manual labor) and I would be happy there and kill any man woman or child who intruded on my land.

I would build a space craft an live in that. It would have room to build stations in it and would be armed with huge lasers that could melt the ice caps from space.
