It has come to my attention that I was placed on the list of those who have left the board..

*ahem* Like hell I have!

Feel a tad better now. Sorry for my long period of absence. You see, I spilled green tea on my laptop and college raped my face these last couple of semesters, but I am here none the less.

Again, I am sorry for my absence. If you are relatively new to the board, I would love to meet you. For my old friends, good to see you again.

Sorry that I did not make my usual dramatic entrance, time is not of my essence...

It is great to see you as well. A party we will throw indeed. I am thinking about holding some sort of celebration at the Tavern. Just a thought.

That's not a bad idea at all.

You've missed a lot since you where gone, then again I left for a spell too, so a lot of the people here I'm just getting to know.

Maryin and I finaly got hitched in real life by the way. I can't get his stubbern rump to come back to the boards though. Hopefully this time we can revive the Rp forms for sure, and since we moved out together I can get on the net more often now because I'm no longer under my parents rule. So, I'm going to be working really hard to wake the forms up from their really long slumber.

Oh, which reminds me,I've got this crazy new idea for a Rp. It's under Random Incounters in the ooc. I'd love to get yur opinion on it.

As soon as I have time, I will look over it. I look forward to it.

I have a few ideas myself, *bum bum buuum* But the last time I promised the RPers a truly excellent RP, I ended up failing them it would seem. I shan't repeat that mistake.

Exx, I missed you. The Tavern has fallen into serious disrepair, i must say (and I have yet to get my drink! :x ). ANYWAY, I hope life has been treating you well.

@Pandora: When was the wedding? I must have missed it. Congratulations anyway.

Oh, we ll, that's partly my fault, I didn't exactly tell too many people about it. Just the few family members we decided to invite. It was September 30. We've got to be the only people who decide to get married on the very last day of the month. It does however make it really easy to remember, lol.

And Exx, shame on you! You might be a little rusty, but the skill is all still there. You just need to pick up the pieces you left sitting all over the place and stick them all back together. Looks like yur pride is the most shattered, we should work on that first, but I warn you, I'm not that great at puzzles.

Have they got to the level where us mere immortals have a chance of matching skill?

The measure of life; thin or vast, immortal or frail, gauges not the value of life as if it were some kind of currency, but rather the importance of the individual in question. Importance, usually a matter of opinion or secular thought, is a definition that is changed to who is being measured, and the results of which is rests on whom he cares for and the passion swimming in his veins.

To put it simply: It is not what you are, but who you are. When standing with those who care for me... I am immortal.

The world IS at my fingertips, because the world, large in mass, can rest in just a few bloody, pumping muscles caged in anatomy. Under this new system of measurement, how long one may live is irrelevant. When you are with friends, you are a symbol; an idea or thought that represents you or your way of life.

So when you claim to be immortal... look to either your left or your right to truly see.

However, Exx, most people don't care to look past the individually exposed traits of a person to form a deeper thought of their more complex traits which cannot be exposed all at once. I agree that the only thing that truly matters of a person is the memories that they leave behind within other people. Still, people cannot be remembered forever, no matter how much they'd want to. Things get lost, and often they're found again, but I've yet to see anything that's fully understood by anyone.

You must understand that the natural definition of immortality changes when you cast it in another light. With the principle of "To th world you are nothing, but to someone else you are the world" changes the "eternal lifespan" approach into one of "you are bigger then the planet"... with their love you are the world. If you are forgotten in this world, you still have their love and adoration. That essence cannot die unless thrusted into another life. Evn if they forget you... that essence still sparks...

In the light of which you speak there are those who have transcended the shores of time indefinitely. Jesus Christ, Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King, Aristotle... etc etc. in either light... what makes a person great... what makes a leader a leader are the people standing beside him.

Still, in a purely objective light, even the greatest of greats have little effect on the end result of their own actions. Everything will reach its critical mass, where all will be golden and beautiful, but will be promptly destroyed by the very thing that made it great. If one cares too much about another, they will interfere and be returned with irritation. Inter alia, it means that if one is loved by all, they will only persevere through stories and myth, but those who are despised by some will always end up going through time. Aristotle irked philosophers, Martin Luther King was shot, Albert Einstein ended up giving us the tools for Hiroshima... None are remembered in a fully good light, so their immortality is tainted.

you missed the point, it's not about how many you effect, it's about what kind of effect you have on those you do touch. In otherwords liveing for others is the only way to achive greatness, and how you yourself feel about it in the end is all that really matters, really. The greatness you have in your own eyes is what you die with, even if people stop believing in you when yur gone.

To put it simply a good life is lived with the love of others, and the confadince you yourself posseses.
