Well, ummm...I really don't have a clue how to word this, without sounding completely off my rocker...

Are any of you otherkin...or are exploring the possibility? Just curious really...I realize there is a role-playing section, but you never know these days...

If anyone thinks I'm crazy and would like clarification, please ask any questions...

Um, Check out my post title, thats what I am. One of the most powerful beings in the world traped in a human body! How embarasing!

I believe what I believe,Oh, and for those of you who are wondering, God does exisit, in fact Jesus is like a mini Godsin, but I cannot claim to be more powerful than him for it is against my ways.

Even those who are more powerful than God himself bow before him and claim him to be more mighty, and in saying so they would not be a lie. I know that for some of you this is all very hard to understand, but there are many things humans and mystics alike are not ment to understand.

He is the God of all Gods, which means even a Mighty Godsin must give their respects. Call me crazy, loony, anything you wish, for it is your choice to decide in what you believe.

So yeah I belive in otherkin.

I'm assuming that otherkin is when you are a different creature but are human. A bit dogey of a description but it's the most I want to think up right now. As for me, no. Although I'd like it, I really think if nature had intended me to be a dragon, I'd be one.

An Otherkin is simply someone who feels they are not human in one way or another...whether it be in spirit mind...even body. They can be anything from supernatural beings, to elves and faeries, dragons, vampires and witches. (oh my!) As for me, I've only recently come accross the concept of otherkin less than a year ago, and am actively pursuing it and figuring out who I am. I am a wyvern...I think, but other than that, it's really what seems to feel right.

I actually come from an otherkin dragon site, but it's gone down that downward spiral that many forums seem to experience...

And Yes...Jimmy Eat World does rock! The emo band to save all emo!

Otherkin. . .

Firstly, Welcome to the board Blacksails, and I hope that you enjoy yourself here very much!

Also, in regards to being an 'otherkin' as you put it, I don't believe that I am one. And, in this case I agree with Alorith. I think that if nature had intended someone to be a different creature, then they would be a different creature. Maybe a person was a different creature in a past life, and that is why they feel a specific connection with that creature, but if they are a human it is for a reason.

Anyways, that is my opinion, so take no offense those of you who do believe in it. Well, until later!

I'd have to agree with Elise here. Too many people try to be something that they are not, and I don't believe it's going to get them anywhere.

And I really don't know how they got away with making Redwall into a little kid's series, seeing as most of the books' plotlines were quite violent/depressing. It was a bad idea.

okay, a couple things...
first) redwall is a tv series? freaking awesome!
second) Dashboard Confessionals is the emo band to save all emo
third) i'm just a freak, nothing more.
fourth) your stupid. haha, not really. just thought i'd say it.

For some it's just a game or some sort of wishful thinking, but for some other it's quite real. However, one fact remains: The way you think defines the way you act, which in turn defines the self.

So quite frankly, the physical characteristics of an individual are irrelevant to his/her vision of his/herself. It is who and what the persons think they are that make all the difference. And even if nature intended anything, there are still regiments of scientists all around the world trying to heal and prevent people from being afflicted by disabilities or disease... Despite that it's what nature "intended" them to be.

Also, people indeed try too much to be something they are not. Some call it conformity, some other call it falling in line and pretend to be an average Joe. In either case, the person ceased to be his/herself. So the best way to not be something you are not is to always remain true to yourself and it is to that state only that you should surrendered to.

Well, I suppose there is a good truth behind what Tempest brings up. It is kinda convenient to claim that nature set it out to be this way. However, mankind seems to be pretty good at not being like what the other creatures are like. Heh, maybe all these viruses we are working to destroy are really natures way of reducing our numbers, yet we messed that plan up. Well now I'm sounding like some terrible plotted out story. Okay that's all.

And am I the only one who doesn't listen to emo music here?

Not really, I'm not quite sure what emo is!

I often feel that I am differant than everyone else. Some one has accually thought I was a vampire, it was quite amusing.
I feel that I am a Dreamon.
You don't know what a dreamon is?
Check the OOC forum and look at the topic entitled "What is a Dreamon"
What are you?

I would say don't post on dead threads, but seeing as it won't get locked for ages and it's an interesting post, I won't.

Nature intending for people to be human, eh? What about people born with tails that are surgically removed in 'corrective surgery'? They are meant to have a tail! I feel like I've got wings. For all I know I could have been born with them and had them surgically removed as a baby to make me 'normal'. That might be where the sense that you aren't a human comes from.

.. I deleted all of my posts in this topic because they, ah, sucked. I sounded so presumptuous and (gah!) n00bish. So bye bye to them.
Necromancy isn't a good thing.
But there are whole websites and communities devoted to this; I drifted off but am occasionally tempted to try and enter it again. Anyway.

If I'd have been born with a tail, I'd personally take it off. I'm human in this physical form, not a hybrid.
Although scientists are steadily debating on whether or not to make animal x human hybrids for medical/stem cell purposes.

But that's a personal choice. If I was born with wings I wouldn't choose to have them taken off.

I'm thinking of writing a book called Chariots Of Gods Servents (and enemies), or something like that, about angels and demons being alien races. I'll borrow some from Draconic_Chroniclers book (if I can find it!) You could get the sense you are a dragon from being descended from them. I you follow a hybrid line long enough you will eventually find a pure blooded human or something else (whatever the other parent to the original hybrids were). 'Corrective' surgery can do anything nowadays., so the hybrid or pure blood wouldn't know they are one. An MRI scan is the only way to make sure [that you aren't a hybrid/other race].

Ok, just because you wish to look like these 'people', it does not mean we all do.

Otherkin... a strange concept.

The tortured soul trapped on a plane of existance that for it is hell itself, screaming for release as it's otherworldly body is torn by our space-time limitations. Seeking refuge, it took on a form that was compatible with this realm but in the process forgot all that it was, remembering only in fragments its true nature.
