A thank you to Tempest

Without the existence of this site, there's a good chance I wouldn't have got a C in my English GCSE.

Let me explain why. Part of the English GCSE is a roleplay. Due to my experience playing other characters in the RP section, my skills improved suffiently to be able to get a C (or B) at this part of the coursework. Also, it improved my creative writing, so that when it came to that part of the coursework I had a large store of ability and experience to draw upon. In addition, visiting forums (this was the first I joined, but not the last) improved my writing skills immeasureably.

The other forums I later visited then honed my debating skills, which I used during the exam...

Now everyone knows why I am a jerk at times with grammar errors and "leet speek". The more you write in a proper format the easier it is to do so when you need it. I have been helped a lot with board writing.

I agree, now I'm teaching primary school kids (7 year olds) and we do a lot of story telling and my experiences here have helped me teach it and give them the enthusiasm to write fantastic stories. Thanks :D

I've kinda faded out of RPs across the internet, but the time I spent on the few I actually participated in has helped with my writing. And seeing how people keep getting in trouble for spelling/grammar, I've learned their mistakes and have become a human spellcheck.

Not to mention the friends I've met here.
