Okay, everyone, in your profile, near the bottom in the Preference section, there is something called "Board Style". You should see several new board style available there. Try them and select the one you would like to see as default on the board. I will update and work on the layout of the two most popular (one dark, one light), the other will be updated less often.

Now it is time to chose one default board theme.

Post the URL next to this message and I will update the list.

Note that some of them as as-it, meaning they still have the default title and image. Obviously I won't keep the picture of Master Chief if we decide to use vision_x as the default board theme. Same for every other theme. The icons set (ie: Popular, New posts, No New posts, Locked, Sticky, etc) will be the one used on the SubSilver for the light colored theme (see the image below).

Lastly: This poll will remain open for 30 days, so you have plenty of time to look around and get the feeling of each theme. So, don't cast your vote too early because you can only vote once!

So for clarification, all of these templates are now indefinately available, but you will only be spending time to improve the two (one dark one light) that get the most votes?

And I just noticed the little dragon guy is back!!! W00t to that!!! When did that happen?

Indefinitely available, yes and no, I plan to remove the themes that received no vote at all.

The two themes that will receive the most vote (if it's 2 light, then I will pick a dark one) will be updated more often, the others... well, it will be when I have some free time.

Note: The little title dragon is here since... 7 August 2005.

Note 2 Response: I've been all around the themes for phpBB earlier, seen all of what was in the "Board Style" preference tab, and this is the one I liked best before you put the polls up, so I really have spent the time on deciding. Maybe that's the case for the other two votes as well?

Note 3: I think we should give the little title dragon a name.

To discuss about the theme, use the current thread.

After spending a bit of time using a few of the board themes, I think I'd rather stick with the defult theme (black one) or use this one.

Both are darker and easier to see with out having your eyes burned out. I use the net at night more often than not so a white background is more bright than usual.

Apparently, I will be casting the vote for the missing "light" theme and I am a bit surprised that Subsilver get any votes, personally I think it's a rather bland theme, shipped by default with phpBB... It's not something original but if people here want it, so be it.

I like either BBTech or the Tren_z_expanded one, but I voted for BBTech.
