Dragnix Posting Contest - Prize Pool
No contest is complete without a prize. For the posting contest this will be achieved using a prize pool. This thread details the prizes that will be offered in the contest, for the actual contest see contest thread

1. Prize Pool Rules
Anyone can submit a prize to the prize pool. After the end of the contest the participant with the highest score may pick first. Then the participant with the next highest score. This continues until there are no prizes left, or until all participants has picked their prize.

1.1 Submitting Prizes
You can submit a prize anytime until the end of the contest (October 5th). The rules for prize submissions are:
  • Prizes must be deliverable either digitally via email or sent as a package/mail. If you are sending an item you must cover shipping costs, and be prepared to deliver it internationally.
  • Commissions are allowed
  • Combinational prizes such as pick 3 out of the following 5 items are possible
  • No illegal materials
  • Cash prizes are discouraged
  • You must be able to deliver the prize within 30 days of it being claimed
1.2 Withdrawing a prize
If for any reason you can not deliver a prize that you have offered you may withdraw the prize. Please contact me first, so that I can remove it from the prize pool.

1.3 Claiming prizes
When the contest is over the user ranked first (by having the highest score) may pick the first prize from the prize pool. Once this is done, the user ranked second (by having the next highest score) may pick the second prize. This continues until either no prizes are left, or everyone that participated has had their chance to pick a prize.

1.4 Unclaimed Prizes
If there are any prizes left in the prize pool unclaimed after everyone has had their chance to pick a prize, then the persons who offered them gets to keep them.

To start the prize pool I'll offer two games on steam, Metro 2033, and Gary's Mod as two separate prizes. Not quite sure why I chose to double post this, but oh well...

I will also add some steam games to the pool and other games. Mainly what I intend to do is to buy a giftable key for the next few weekly humble bundles and any other humble bundle that comes out with the intention of giving it to our winners.

@BeneathTheStarlight36: Great, I've added your commission to the list.
@Forgotten Dragon's Ire: Sure go ahead. I'll add your giftable keys to the list once we know what game/bundle the belong to.

I already have 4 keys which I will hold till we have our winners. The keys that I currently have are The Comedy Humble Bundle, Humble Bundle 9, Humble Weekly Sale Retro Shooters, and Humble Weekly Sale Arcen Games.

As a side note I will only ever pay $1 for any Humble Bundle for the prize pool. So the content you need to pay more for will not be available.

Great, I've added them to the prize pool. We now have more prizes in the prize pool than contestants in the contest!

Just got Steam for my NOOK. It's not for an unmodded NOOK but it does work on a rooted one. Now I just gotta figure out how to use it.
Also would have gotten it for my laptop but it takes 512 MB of ram but I only have 256.

Did you just claim to have a laptop with 256MB of RAM? Wow. Just, wow. That is retro... that's like early 2000s.

As DragonRider has the first place, he gets to pick a prize firsts. Which one do you choose DragonRider?

May 2002 to be precise. Dell Inspiron™ 2650 with 256 MB of RAM and 16 GB of primary disc space. No wifi, no DVD drive (only CDs), serial ball mouse, and the battery's trashed. So yeah, pretty retro. But I can still play Myst and use my emulator to play Spyro, and that's all I really care.

EDIT: dang, ninja'd.

I don't know. What are the game bundles like? It's one of those, or Garry's Mod, but unless I know what the game bundles have...

All the bundles contain several games... It would take me a while to list what each contained so I will link the wikipedia page that does it for me. Some games and content listed is not available as it was for paying more than the average though it should be denoted as such. I personally enjoy the bundles as you get several games for significantly cheaper than they are worth.

Humble Bundle 9 and Comedy Bundle

Shards! Egosoft, Egosoft! I've been planning to acquire all those games once I get Steam... in fact it's the reason I've been planning to get Steam. I don't suppose they let you pay extra later to upgrade the bundle to get everything? :p Mind, I want to play through them properly.

How exactly does the Steam system work, though? Can I download them multiple times on one account, like a Kindle?

Yes it is like a kindle.. they store the games on your account and whenever you wish to download them you can. So I take it you want the Egosoft bundle lol. The link to your bundle was sent to you via pm.

Sadly no you won't be able to increase the amount payed for it since it is a gift but I do recommend keeping your eye out for any future humble bundles.

I'm thinking Arcen Games bundle. I just hope my sister doesn't figure out that there are more games on the netbook or I would have to share. Then again, my birthday is coming up and I could just ask for a good laptop like mom's.
