The Dragnix oligarchy has decided to bestow its denizens with a voice, and thus is holding its second moderator elections. Two or three moderators will be elected, as follows:
Sector 1 (General): General Forum
Sector 2 (Site Related): Dragons Discussions, Artwork
Sector 3 (PbP): Role Playing, Out of Character discussion
Sector 4 (Maintenance): Introduction, Test Forum, Feedback
Sector 5 (Gallery): The Coppermine gallery (not on this forum)
I will do this Ender's style: being a moderator is a responsibility and you also need to be fair and responsible about moderating a forum, and should be rather consistent about it too. You will have plenty of personal discretion about what you allow and what you don't want to see in the forum(s) you moderate. It sound like a difficult job but in reality it isn't. I know it's something you will be doing for free and as such this mean you address problems as you see them. I will never ask to overwork yourself or ask that you spend time on the board rather than studying for an exam or anything like that.
Also, remember that in "moderator" there is the word "moderation", this means that you can be called to curb and restrain opinions that have gone too far. You will have all the tools needed to keep any situation under control, as such, I expect moderators to be able to keep their head above the fray.
In order to run, you just have to make a step forward and tell me what sections you are interested to moderate. I have already divided the board in broad groups, but feel free to apply to any forum(s) you want.
I will review your nomination and if you are found to have the desired qualities for the task then I will put you to a vote. Registered users on the board will vote you up or down. This also mean that you should consider the realistic possibility that I will refuse some candidates and some candidates can also be voted down. Keep in mind that while this election is meant to be fun for the most part, don't take things too personal, there is a lot of reasons for someone to not be chosen; it depend on your ability to quench inflammatory threads, your general behavior here and if in general, your attitude proven me that you derseve to be a moderator.
Seniority will be a factor of selection.
