I have been presented with a dilemma

Post by Blackhawk »

Everybody knows what a wyvern is I take it?
A dragon with no forelegs yadda yadda..
When I read one of my friend Aiolos' posts the other day,she said that wyverns are smallish dragons with hands on their wings (where a European's thumbclaw would be)
This is what presented a problem to me,as the dragons' wing anatomy suggests that they have wings like a bat:the thumb sticks out as an aid to hold onto things (walls etc) and the long fine fingers are the rest of it's hand and what supports the membrane and stops it from ripping mid-flight.
If the wyvern has a hand where the thumbclaw on a European would be,does that mean it has two hands on each wing?
I'm sorry if it's difficult to understand,it made perfect sense to me one night when I couldn't sleep.^^;

I always draw and describe them with three fingers where the thumb claw would be....three or two....

That's not a dilemma, that's a matter of opinion...

A dilemma is this...

*clears throat*

You find yourself at a cross road, with each side having a man on it. One only tells the truth, and one only tells lies. You want to get to get to a certain town that lies in the direction of one path, but you don't know which. You can only ask one question, which both will answer. What question do you ask???

Answer below...

You ask "which is the path to that town", and ignore the man with the beard, because he is clearly evil...

probably not
If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.

a wyvern is not like a European dragon so it is possible for it to have a hand there...though i cannot find a picture drawn by man or computer that has one :?

We known what a wyvern is; Blackhawk was confused about the 'hands' on the wingtips.

And hey! That picture is by Ciruelo!

First of all, Dragonlore_Ridders, you're new here so it's understandable, but plz dnt typ like this, 0r t415. Please use full words, sentences, and punctuation, and place numbers wherever appropriate...

Secondly, I see what Akira's saying. If you shoot one and they respond "YOU SHOT HIM, YOU SHOT HIM", he is the liar, and you follow the advice of the other. If you shoot one and they say "YOU SHOT ME, YOU SHOT ME", then do the opposite of whatever the unshot one says...

Once again you have diluted the flow of pure posts, good job Firuweata. Now, I don't really care, but I think anouther solution would be to simply ask wheather they were dead or not. walk past the one who says no.

yeah but if u can find a way without violence then it's better because u dont haveto worry about the police or anyone coming after u because u shot someone. but either way would work.

u could also ask of they are standing there and the one who says no u ignore.

But If you ask that dead question, then you still won't know which town to go to, since all you found out is which is the liar, and that you used up your one question...
